Since March of 2008, Vernon Hills and its surrounding communities have experienced a series of home break-ins which have yet to be solved. In Vernon Hills, break-ins have been concentrated mainly in the Grosse Pointe Village and Greggs Landing communities. The Vernon Hills Police are asking everyone in Gregg's Landing to be vigilant and call the Police Department immediately to report ANY unordinary vehicles, subjects or activities. Vernon Hills 4th of July Parade and Evening Events
The planning has been going on since April, and the volunteers of the Vernon Hills Fourth of July Parade Committee will be up bright and early setting up for the 2009 Fourth of July Celebrations.
