Since March of 2008, Vernon Hills and its surrounding communities have experienced a series of home break-ins which have yet to be solved. In Vernon Hills, break-ins have been concentrated mainly in the Grosse Pointe Village and Greggs Landing communities. The Vernon Hills Police are asking everyone in Gregg's Landing to be vigilant and call the Police Department immediately to report ANY unordinary vehicles, subjects or activities. The board of the Gregg's Landing North Homeowner's Association has negotiated a new three year contract with Acres Group.
